Hyperspectral Imaging

Fast facts

About the project

Project type Public funding (MIWF, FH-Basis 2014)
Duration >5 years (ongoing)

Intelligent camera sensors with innovative hyperspectral image sensors enable spectral analysis of the image data in contrast to conventional camera systems. The result is not an image matrix, but a cube with the wavelength as the third dimension. This enables a more precise analysis and recognition of the objects being viewed, which can be used, for example, in medical technology (cancer diagnostics), agriculture (environmental analysis) or automation technology (quality assurance).
