Research and Teaching Award 2024

In addition to the 24 best students at Fachhochschule Dortmund, one professor and two professors from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering were also honored at the annual academic ceremony on November 28, 2024:

Prof. Dr. Martin Kiel and Prof. Dr. Stefan Kempen were awarded the 2024 Research Prize. They are working on high-voltage battery systems that are operated at up to ten times higher voltage in order to significantly reduce losses in the storage system.

The prize for outstanding teaching went to Prof. Dr. Simone Arnold. The students praised her clear teaching, particularly in the important basic subjects of Physics I & II. She is always open to requests and suggestions for topics and conveys the content in a lively, digital and particularly practical way.
