Symposium on the book
In their book "What is a good childhood?(Opens in a new tab) ", Prof. Dr. Johannes Drerup(Opens in a new tab) and Dr. Gottfried Schweiger(Opens in a new tab) have formulated a concise proposal as to which goods belong to a good childhood and who is primarily responsible for providing them.
Interdisciplinary discussion
As part of the two-day symposium "What is a good childhood?" on April 3 and 4, 2025, this proposal will be critically discussed together with the authors against an interdisciplinary background and the practical experience of social work.
The authors
- Johannes Drerup, born 1981, is Professor of General Educational Science at TU Dortmund University and Visiting Professor at the Free University of Amsterdam.
- Gottfried Schweiger, born in 1980, is a senior scientist at the Center for Ethics and Poverty Research at the University of Salzburg.
