dESIGN12+ #7: Prof. Boris Michalski - GREEN PRODUCING
Abstract:
Green Producing has established itself as the new industry standard for film and television productions in Germany. The implementation of sustainability principles requires innovative working methods and a rethinking of those involved in order to achieve the necessary transformation. The Film Subsidies Act provides regulatory requirements for this, which have been partially integrated into the so-called 'ÖKOSTANDARDS' and represent a guideline for sustainable film and television productions.
Speaker:
Prof. Boris Michalski has been teaching at Stuttgart Media University (HdM) since 2012 and founded the Sustainable Media Institute (SUMI) in 2022. Since 2020, he has also headed the Green Consultant Program, a HdM certification course in cooperation with MFG Baden-Württemberg. Before his professorship, he realized numerous national and international film projects as a film producer and is a member of the German and European Film Academy.
