New ideas for building and living will be presented at the NRW Building Fair at Messe Dortmund from March 14 to 16, 2025. The Faculty of Architecture at Fachhochschule Dortmund is contributing student work, including from the projects "Concrete follows Form" (Department of Building Materials Technology) and "Spaceframes" (Department of Digital Methods).
However, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts will not only be present at stand number 3.291 (Hall 3). At the "Tiny Village" stand of the City of Dortmund (number 3.340), the Fachhochschule Dortmund will also be showing its mobile sustainability office "Soffi", a caravan converted into a tiny house office, which offers ten square meters of space for workstations, a lounge corner and a kitchenette, for example. The interior of the caravan is the result of design student Marie Gowert's bachelor's thesis.
In and around "Soffi" - the abbreviation stands for Sustainability Office - further posters and models from the Faculties of Architecture and Design can be seen.
