New: Fifth group study room and presentation screens in the EFS library

Published

After a long renovation phase, the time has finally come: the additional group study room in the library at the Emil-Figge-Straße 44 location is ready and can now be booked! Due to the high demand for the group rooms, the former rep room has been converted into an additional room for study groups. This means that this library location now has a total of five rooms that student groups can use for studying and working together.

Just like the other four, the new group study room must be booked in advance. This is always possible up to four weeks in advance, but last-minute bookings can still be made on the day they want to use a free room. All five rooms have tables and chairs for up to eight people, sufficient power sockets, a whiteboard with matching pens and - brand new - a presentation screen for effective collaboration.

Presentation screens in all group workrooms

The latter is an innovation that fulfills a wish frequently expressed by students. From now on, students will be asked whether or not they want to use the screen each time they book. If yes, students will receive a small box at the service desk next to the sign with the room number when they check in. It contains the remote control for the screen, two different connection cables (HDMI to HDMI and HDMI to USB-C) and instructions to ensure that the connection works with different devices.

The box is issued against a deposit. This can be an identity card, for example. The box is then returned at check-out. Further information and the option to book can be found on the library's website:
