Jochen Drescher is leaving Fachhochschule Dortmund. For 16 years, first as Chancellor's Representative and Head of Department and since 2016 as Chancellor, Jochen Drescher played a key role in shaping the development of Fachhochschule Dortmund. On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, he celebrated his farewell at the kostBar on Emil-Figge-Straße with around 200 guests.

Companions spoke words of praise in his honor: Prof. Dr. Tamara Appel, Rector of Fachhochschule Dortmund, and her predecessor Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Schwick; the Chairman of the University Council Guido Baranowski, the former Chancellor of Fachhochschule Dortmund Dr. Rainer Ambrosy and his current successor Markus Hinsenkamp.

They all thanked Jochen Drescher for the time they spent together and the path we have taken together. They found extremely appreciative and always humorous words for his professional competence and expertise, for his qualities as a boss and as a person. They wished him all the best for his retirement - and continued resilient deadline management in view of his many projects and family responsibilities. Jochen Drescher thanked all the speakers and guests.
