Four top graduates from Fachhochschule Dortmund were honored with the Hans Uhde Prize for their outstanding final theses in engineering at a special ceremony on 16 May 2022. The Hans Uhde Foundation also honored four graduates of TU Dortmund University and an employee of thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG.
After welcoming speeches by Michael Höllermann, CEO of thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG, and Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Schwick(Opens in a new tab) , Rector of Fachhochschule Dortmund, Prof. Dr. Michael Karagounis(Opens in a new tab) , also from Fachhochschule Dortmund, gave the keynote speech on "Power supply and monitoring of the ATLAS pixel detector at the Large Hadron Collider".
The Hans Uhde Prize was then awarded to Larissa Behnke, Felix Bertoli, Tim Blömker and Jessica Swoboda from Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Patrick Böcker, Mario Ferdinand Hermes, Annika Möglich and Harun Teper from TU Dortmund University.
This year's winner of the Hans Uhde Prize from thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG is Martin Hittorff, Head of Process Engineering at Uhde Inventa-Fischer AG. He was honored for his outstanding achievements in the field of research and development.
