In cooperation with the Society for Fantastic Research(Opens in a new tab) , the association Phantastik-Autoren-Netzwerk e.V(Opens in a new tab) . has awarded Philip Maas-Timpert's bachelor thesis "What function can fantastic role-playing games fulfill as a method of biographical work with children and young people?" with a prize for scientific research into the fantastic. The thesis was submitted to the Faculty of Applied Social Studies at Fachhochschule Dortmund in the summer semester of 2023 and was subsequently selected for funding.

The thesis was supervised by Dr. Laura Flöter-Fratesi (Deputy Professor of Cultural Studies 2022-2023). The second reviewer was Prof. Dr. Christoph Lutz-Scheurle (Professor of Cultural Studies with a focus on Art and Participation).
