Due to the current situation, we would like to inform and sensitize you to the handling of flyers and notices in the Faculty of Applied Social Studies(Opens in a new tab) and at the university.
Notices, posters and flyers
Notices and posters may only be displayed on the notice boards provided and in the display cases. Posting in the display cases is only possible by the persons responsible for this. Further distribution of information by means of notices or flyers must always be agreed in advance with the Facility Management(Opens in a new tab) of Fachhochschule Dortmund. Unauthorized notices, flyers, banners and the like will be removed and disposed of.
No room for discrimination
Irrespective of this, the dissemination of certain content is generally prohibited. Specifically, this includes above all content that disrupts our respectful and considerate coexistence in the faculty and at the university. Writings, posters or items of clothing that, for example, spread misanthropic, in particular fundamentalist (religious and ideological), unconstitutional, racist or xenophobic, sexist, homophobic and transphobic opinions are therefore prohibited.
Concrete occasion in the Faculty of Applied Social Studies
In recent weeks, there have been repeated complaints about a flyer that is hostile to queer and trans people and spreads inhumane and false information. Although these flyers are repeatedly removed in various places by colleagues from the faculty or facility management, among others, they regularly reappear. At this point, we would be pleased if you could inform us directly if these flyers are displayed again. You can do this by email , via Instagram or, for example, by contacting the faculty office, the student council(Opens in a new tab) or the gate at Emil-Figge-Straße 44.
Help us!
Help us to ensure that racism, sexism, homophobia, queer and trans hostility, hatred and hate speech have no place at our university and in our faculty.
