Mobility management

What is the HEP project "Mobility Management"?

Mobility management is a 12-month project that was derived from the University Development Plan (HEP)(Opens in a new tab) . It is one of the building blocks through which the UAS fulfills the focus topic "social responsibility" defined in the HEP. Mobility management contributes to sustainability as a cross-sectional task for responsible cooperation in everyday university life and for the socio-ecological design of campus life.

The project is based in the Faculty of Applied Social Studies under the direction of Prof. Dr. Marcel Hunecke and is carried out in cooperation with the CSR Office. The two colleagues working on the project are contact persons for questions relating to the topic of sustainable mobility at the UAS. They also organize events and participation formats on the topic of sustainable mobility and coordinate measures to improve them.

Moritz Niermann: "Sustainability is a topic that affects us all. The sustainable transformation of the mobility sector is an area that is often the subject of particularly controversial and emotional discussions. With my work, I want to show that sustainability is by no means only synonymous with doing without, but that it can also bring many personal benefits in addition to relieving our climate."

Anna-Maria Reinartz: "Mobility is necessary, it means freedom and at the same time it is responsible for a large part of the damage we cause to our world. That is why it is so important to transform mobility in a socially just and sustainable way."
