Electronics and Automation Laboratory (EL)

Profile

The electronics and automation laboratory has 9 workstations for practical courses in digital technology, microcontroller technology, electronics and sensor technology as well as circuit design.

Each laboratory workstation is fully equipped with various laboratory devices such as oscilloscopes, function generators, power supply units and multimeters.

In addition, the workstations offer the opportunity to develop electronic circuits and systems using modern development software.

This means that computer-aided design methods are available at each workstation, as well as options for setting up and measuring hardware components.

Overview of internships

Summer semester:

  • Fundamentals of Digital Technology (GD)
  • Microcontroller technology (MC)
  • Industrial electronics and sensor technology (IE)

Winter semester:

  • Electronics (EL)
  • Design of discrete circuits (ED)

In the area of research and development in the field of electronic components and circuit technology, the laboratory also has a further 6 workstations with extensive equipment. A fully computer-aided development process is offered at these workstations. This gives students the opportunity to simulate and dimension the implementation based on an idea, produce the circuit in the form of a printed circuit board and put the prototype into operation.

The availability of modern laboratory equipment and measuring devices enables a precise analysis of important parameters and serves to directly compare the development objective with the realized structure.
