The Fachhochschule Dortmund's Hochschule vor Ort is temporarily turning its Nordstadtgalerie into a "library". From August 4 to 16, events and an "open bookcase" will support access to literature for everyone and encourage a lively exchange about books. Admission is free.
"Library, what can you do?" is the opening question on Friday, August 4, 2023. In a discussion starting at 3 p.m., UAS librarian Eva Schameitat will present the wide range of services offered by a library.
On Monday, August 7, 2023, a "book swap" will follow from 5 p.m. as a sustainable and free opportunity to share the joy of reading. Anyone who likes can bring books, swap them or simply take them with them.
The Nordstadtgalerie team invites you to "read together" on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 6 pm. Visitors can present their favorite books, give recommendations and make book friends.
On four days, there will also be an "open bookcase" right outside the Nordstadtgalerie with a small collection of books:
- Wednesday, August 9, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Saturday, August 12, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
- Monday, August 14, 4-6 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 16, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
