Lecturers' concert at Fachhochschule Dortmund

On Wednesday, three musical professors from the Fachhochschule Dortmund are inviting you to a lecturers' concert for the first time in the auditorium of the Faculty of Design at Max-Ophüls-Platz 2. Let yourself be inspired by the musical diversity and creative talent of the lecturers from the Faculty of Design!

Autotext is a prog-folk band that is unperturbed by the invisibility and excess of the 1920s. Words and sound are their language and a pack of instruments their toys. Prof. Martin Middelhauve (object and spatial design, scenography) is one of the songwriters and plays the violin, mandolin and mandola unabashedly.

Prof. Jörg U. Lensing (sound design) presents compositions that combine theater and dance and invites the audience to an inspiring musical experience.

Prof. Oliver Langbein (scenography) brings electronic sounds and video projections from his current project "OSA - Orchestra for Sustainable Atmosphere" to the stage. His first release from 1987, Tribantura - Lack of Sense, an industrial classic, will certainly also be on show.


Special highlights of the evening:
- Dance performance: three contemporary duets from the choreography "West-Land-Tänze" by Jacqueline Fischer, performed by dancers Lara Pilloni and Julia Monschau from Düsseldorf's THEATER DER KLÄNGE.
- BalFolk dance round: a proprioceptive finale where you can shake a leg to the music of Prof. Lensing (electronics), Christiane Meis (accordion) and Jens Barabasch (flute).

Especially for this evening, Oliver Langbein will be showing and listening to video projections with loops from the current art biennale in Venice with live mash-up improvisations. These are currently being created on the faculty's Venice excursion.

As part of the dESIGN12+ lecture series, this first-ever lecturer concert is a special opportunity to experience the artistic side of our lecturers up close and exclusively.
