The Deutsche Bank logo is not only concrete art, but also minimalist design in perfect form. It is the result of decades of work and exploration by its creator Anton Stankowski with the geometric shapes of the square, triangle and slash. As a universal artist and designer with a broad horizon, Stankowski combined an eagerness to work with great meticulousness. A look at his artistic legacy shows that the development of his trademarks was based on an extensive process in which numerous sketches and studies were created. The lecture traces the development history in detail and explains the cooperation project between Deutsche Bank AG and the Faculty of Design at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the logo, in which students developed new visions for the bank's image.
