DIE LIEBE FRISST DAS LEBEN traces the work of Tobias Gruben, who even more than twenty years after
still considered an almost undiscovered diamond of German pop culture. Young bands such as Messer
or Isolation Berlin were inspired by the singer of Cyan Revue and Die Erde to create cover versions. But the film is not
not only tells of an unfinished musical career, but also describes the ongoing struggle of a son
