Masterprojekt eTrail-Ing

Fast facts

About the project

The more the sun shines, the more energy a mobile cold room requires - but the more energy photovoltaic modules provide. In simple terms, this could be the basic formula for the eTrail-Ing master's project. In their project, students are developing a trailer that supplies several power outlets and a cold storage room with energy for around seven days, independently of the power grid and based solely on renewable and emission-free technologies: photovoltaics, batteries and hydrogen fuel cells.

The basic formula may seem straightforward, but in detail the development process presents challenges that need to be mastered through teamwork. These include issues such as dimensioning the subsystems, space allocation, weight distribution, statics, dynamic loads, safety, costs and much more.
