I am happy to receive proposals for Bachelor's, Master's and project theses, particularly on topics from companies. Ideally, the topics should be in my areas of teaching or interest. If you are interested, you are welcome to visit me during my office hours or contact me by email.

- PD-051: (assigned) Distance detection by analyzing the optical flow within image sequences using DirectShow video recordings. The basis for this work is a Pocket PC with a 1.3MPix camera mounted on a mobile robot. The work is based on previous work.

- PD-055 (awarded): Rhenus Logistik, Dortmund: logistics/databases/data warehouse; implementation of a key performance indicator system and further development of the Rhenus postal logistics system.
- PD-056: (awarded) Visualization of geographical statistical data with GoogleEarth in cooperation with NuTech Solutions.
- PD-057 (awarded): Development of a Google Earth layer for orientation in package tourism resorts in cooperation with NuTech Solutions. An example of the Google Earth database shows the hotel RIU Palace Meloneras on Gran Canaria in Maspalomas and can be found here.
- PD-058: (expired) Technology studies for the software development of Rosen. Rosen is the market leader for equipment and evaluation software for pipeline inspection.
- PD-059: (awarded) Redesign and implementation of random forests for time series prediction in cooperation with NuTech Solutions.

- PD-062: (awarded) Quality Management: Further development of an XML-based acquisition and transformation tool for the creation of QM documents for the Faculty of Computer Science. Recording of core processes with the help of the tool.

- PD-074: (awarded) Project, BSc and/or MSc work in the field of signaling and control technology in the railroad sector at Tiefenbach, Sprockhövel, (www.tiefenbach.de). The control systems are mostly implemented in embedded systems (PPC) or directly in FPGAs. An important principle in the development is the specifications of the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) regarding safety, in particular CENELEC (EN ISO 50126-50128). We are looking for support in the area of software programming and software project planning. The employee/intern should have knowledge of C/C++ and English (Wonderware advantageous).
