Graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Information Technology

Hats flew high at the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Information Technology.

At the university's newest faculty, 45 graduates of Information Technology were invited to come together for the graduation ceremony on September 21, 2023. In lecture hall A 101 on the Sonnenstraße campus, they took the opportunity to celebrate their achievements in style together with those responsible for the faculty, fellow students and family members.

Among the well-wishers was Rector Prof. Dr. Tamara Appel, who opened the ceremony with a welcoming address. Dean Prof. Dr. Frank Gustrau then took over the moderation and gave a presentation on the development and orientation of the faculty. Student greetings came from the student council, represented by Amina Aljandali and Alyssa Blümel.

Profile of the Faculty of Information Technology(Opens in a new tab)

Lilli Riesenweber contributed a short specialist presentation on the topic of "Personal safety in electromagnetic fields in the context of occupational health and safety". She explained the findings from her Bachelor's thesis, which she had written in cooperation with the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) for the Biomedical Engineering(Opens in a new tab)  study program. Lilli Riesenweber is now continuing her studies with a Master's degree in Information Technology(Opens in a new tab) .

Research at the Faculty of Information Technology

At a champagne reception with a buffet in the foyer immediately after the official part of the successful graduation ceremony, all participants were able to chat and network extensively. In addition, a photo box from the Alumni Service(Opens in a new tab)  was used to take numerous snapshots of the evening.
