Radio plays with new perspectives on the Ruhr region

Published

The premiere of four short student radio plays was one of the highlights of the "Podest" exhibition at Fachhochschule Dortmund. The radio plays, which were created in Prof. Jörg Lensing's seminar, deal with different aspects of the cultural heritage of the Ruhr area and provide insights into the diverse history and identity of the region.

The radio plays were created by sound design students Cyril Buchardt, Arkin Kodalak, Janis Merten and Lukas Pauksch and deal with exciting topics: from the local drinking hall culture to the Dortmund jazz scene in the Domicil and the art and cinema culture in the Ruhr region. These works are not only homages to the past, but also a creative expression of young talent looking at the cultural heritage of the Ruhr with fresh eyes.

For those who missed the radio plays or would like to listen to them again, they are now available online on the museum.de platform.

Anniversary to listen to

The stations of the audio guide for Fachhochschule Dortmund's 50th anniversary are also available to listen to on the same platform. In an audio exhibition, 15 anecdotes, reports and commentaries, "50 years in 50 minutes for 50 days" tells the story of students' lives, disputes and unity in university politics and the transformation of society over the past five decades with a focus on the Faculty of Design at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
