On March 29, the eighth-graders at Heisenberg Gymnasium found out where student internships are possible and what is important when choosing an internship in the school's own auditorium. In addition to experience reports from tenth graders who had already tried out internships, playful practical insights from the StudyScouts and the FabLab served as a source of ideas for their own internships.
In the FabLab(Opens in a new tab) , students and private individuals have the opportunity to use various modern manufacturing techniques. Whether 3D printer or embroidery machine - there are no limits to creativity.
During the annual internship fair, the students gained insights into the world of 3D printing and the degree courses in architecture(Opens in a new tab) , computer science(Opens in a new tab) and photography(Opens in a new tab) at impressive information stands.
Using their brains and the wonders of leverage, the pupils at the architecture stand constructed a robust Leornado bridge using only identical miniature wooden building blocks. The bridge also proved to be stable when put to the test by the 3D-printed drinks crate. The FabLab's portable 3D printers, which produced small figures in front of the pupils' eyes, also caused a stir.
1 step forward or 2 steps back? - The pupils used an iPad to control the movements of two Lego robots and familiarize themselves with the basic principles of computer science.
At the photography stand, the pupils leafed through the application portfolios of two students who had used them to secure their university places.
The new impressions aroused new interest or intensified existing curiosity. We wish them every success in their search for an internship!
