The Faculty of Architecture is delighted with three successes!
Luisa Demmer, Bachelor graduate of the Faculty of Architecture, was awarded 1st prize for her design for the conversion and extension of the old fire protection office in Plauen. The work, which is also her bachelor's thesis, was supervised by Prof. Fülscher and Prof. Haberland.
Lorena Meermeier also received a 1st prize for her contribution to the redesign of the town center and conversion of the Hotel Lunik in Eisenhüttenstadt. Malin Schulz received recognition for the same work. Both are students on the "ressource.architektur" Master's degree course at Fachhochschule Dortmund and were supervised by Prof. Haberland.
The renowned competition is held every two years by the Leipzig Trade Fair Academy in cooperation with the German Foundation for Monument Protection. This year, the jury, consisting of renowned experts in monument preservation, architects and specialists in theory and teaching, selected four first prizes from a total of 43 entries and awarded ten commendations.
