Guide to dealing with right-wing extremism

The book is primarily aimed at students and social work professionals who are new to the topic of right-wing extremism and how to deal with it. It also arose from my teaching at the University of Applied Sciences and is intended as an introduction to the topic.

Yes and no. On the one hand, it is designed as a textbook for social work. On the other hand, it provides a comprehensive introduction to the topic and hopefully also helps to understand the phenomena. For example, I use many examples from my practical experience with dropouts, parents and local authorities and have also tried to write in a simple and reader-friendly way. At its core, I am also concerned with developing a human rights and democratic attitude, which of course doesn't just apply to social work. I therefore hope that the book might also be worth reading for laypeople.

Young people go their own way. Therefore, there is no guarantee that your own child will not try to go in this direction. But there are, of course, preventative measures: a non-violent upbringing that allows for freedom, with rules and love and trust at the same time, a democratic school worthy of the name, respectful and motivated child and youth work, etc. Generally speaking, the stronger the democratic culture in a place, the stronger the rule of law and the greater the social cohesion in the economic, political, social and cultural spheres, the more difficult it is for radicals and haters of all colors and ideologies.
