EU Commission recognizes digitalization for Erasmus+

The Erasmus+ mobility program enables students to spend time abroad in Europe.

The European Commission has recognized Fachhochschule Dortmund for its completely paperless digital management of the Erasmus+ mobility program, which enables students and employees to spend time abroad. Together with four German universities and other European "champions", the UAS will be part of a new best-practice consortium in future.

"As a pioneer, we began the first digitalization steps even before the start of the EU project 'Erasmus Without Paper'," emphasizes Dagmar Hösch, Head of the International Office at Fachhochschule Dortmund. The digital administration solution that has been set up since then covers the entire mobility and partnership management related to Erasmus+, including all admission and registration processes.

"As a newly crowned champion, we can now work even more closely with the EU Commission and the universities to use our experience to promote and optimize digital measures for Erasmus+ across Europe," says Dagmar Hösch. The award is a joint success of the cooperation between the International Office and university IT with the international and country representatives in the faculties of Fachhochschule Dortmund.
