SEC 2024
For the first time outside of the United States, the 9th ACM/IEEE Symposium on Edge Computing (SEC 2024) took place December 4-7, 2024 in the historic city of Rome, Italy.
This event brought together 106 participants, including academics, researchers, practitioners and students from 25 countries, to explore the transformative role of edge computing in shaping the future of technology. Led by General Chair George Pallis and Program Chairs Songqing Chen and Aaron Ding, the conference featured an impressive program of workshops, panels, keynote talks and networking sessions. Workshop Chair Kewei Sha ensured the inclusion of innovative and diverse workshops, continuing the SEC's tradition of excellence.
Winner of the Best Demo Award
The team at the Smart Edge Lab is very pleased to announce that the demo "SeQaM: End-to-End Service Quality Manager for Edge Computing" has been awarded the "Best Demo Award" at SEC 2024. This recognition underlines the remarkable efforts of the EMULATE project team at Fachhochschule Dortmund and highlights the groundbreaking work being done in the field of edge computing.
