Three students from the Faculty of Design share the fourth "≠Design and Gender Prize" 2025. The jury recognized their "outstanding gender-related work" on gender perspectives.

All of the faculty's study programs were invited to take part, with ten students from five study programs submitting work. The jury's assessment criteria were as follows:

  • The clear examination of gender-specific topics
  • The innovative conceptual approach in dealing with the topic
  • The outstanding design

The jury selected three works as equally the best: by Viola Dessin, Adina Salome Harnischfeger and Ella Seeger. The winners received their prizes at the exhibition of all the works in the Hans A exhibition space at Hansastrasse 6-10: 300 euros each and recognition of their work by the jury.

The exhibition also featured works by Anne Braun, "Anonymous / I want to be myself", Esmaeili Mahsa, Laura Baalmann, Mara Keil and Shaqayeq Mohammadi, as well as Mariele Key, whose work was praised by the jury. The exhibition design was developed and realized by students in the Master of Scenography and Communication: Stefanie Heidrich, Astrid Rang, Benedikt Schneeberg and Dilara Yilmaz, supervised by Prof. Nora Fuchs.

These are the jury members:

  • Quinn Husmann, student and representative of the student council
  • Samaneh Khosravi, doctoral student and prize winner 2023
  • Prof. Oliver Langbein, lecturer at the Faculty of Design
  • Graduate designer Meike Noster, Equal Opportunities Officer of the faculty
