Contents

The interdisciplinary lecture series "BAUM" (Basic, Architecture, Environment, Man) is intended to introduce the new fields of activity "Resource Architecture" and provide a comprehensive insight into the scientific, artistic-design, constructive-technological, economic-ecological and sociological levels of action.
Teaching content on the above-mentioned subject areas of architecture and environment and architecture and people are:
  • - Material and energy cycles (sustainability in the construction, operation, maintenance and dismantling of buildings)
  • - Low-energy construction forms and building elements
  • - Autochthonous building (design, construction, material)
  • - Strategies for dynamic social utilization processes
  • - New building typologies

Teaching methods

Teaching methods
Interdisciplinary lecture series of all lecturers involved in the Master's degree program (supplemented by guest speakers). Scheduled in the initial phase, the lecture series provides an intensive introduction to the multi-layered subject matter of the study program. The compact lecture series introduces the central objectives.

  • Specialization of design skills taking into account special conditions and aspects:
  • - technically optimized, resource-saving materials and constructions, products and production methods
  • - active and passive energy concepts
  • - Building in a special environment
  • -  Planning and building in consideration of socially dynamic processes
  • Deepening the visual and rhetorical means of expression with regard to the moderation of the interdisciplinary design and construction process

  • Contents

    a) Integrated project (design) IP 1
Designing and detailing sites, buildings, spaces and structures with multi-layered,
interdisciplinary planning requirements with the following focal points:
Urban design, expression, function and organization, construction, material, technology, energy, etc.
