Profile
The NeuroMed Lab conducts interdisciplinary research aimed at developing innovative solutions to improve the quality of life of people with impairments such as sensory and motor impairments. Our work focuses on the application of advanced, non-invasive multimodal methods for data acquisition, such as electromyography (EMG), electroencephalography (EEG) and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), and we also place great emphasis on the development of advanced signal processing techniques and machine learning algorithms to optimize the analysis and interpretation of the data obtained.
Through our interdisciplinary approach and the use of state-of-the-art technologies, we strive to develop solutions that sustainably improve the lives of people with disabilities.
Equipment
At the heart of the Neuroscience and Medical Technology Laboratory are various measuring systems for recording electrophysiological signals, as well as robotic and stimulator (electrical and magnetic) systems for inducing disorders in human joints and nerves.
