Model making continues to play an important role in architectural education. Under the guidance of specialist staff, students can build the models required for their studies in the workshop.
Various hand tools and machines, such as band saws, grinding machines, etc., are made available to them for this purpose. Prior participation in a safety briefing is required to use the workshop and the machines. A laser plotter is available for the production of particularly difficult model parts.
The workshop staff will counseling on the procurement of suitable materials. Model making materials are not provided. The professional supervision and instruction helps to quickly acquire the necessary model building knowledge and manual skills. The well-equipped workshop is an intensively used facility, and not just for submission deadlines.

Service & Offer
The workshop is available to all students of the Faculty of Architecture at Fachhochschule Dortmund. Prior safety instruction is required for the use of machines.
Services for laser and cutting plotter work are only offered to students of the Faculty of Architecture at Fachhochschule Dortmund.
