Your new home, where you will be living and studying from now on, has various names in the German language - it is usually called the Ruhrgebiet, but Metropole Ruhr and (Ruhr-)Pott are also common terms. The region looks back on a long mining history and offers a special "industrial charm" in many places. But nature lovers won't miss out either thanks to the many hiking trails and cycle routes. Below you will find a selection of excursions that we regularly offer in the summer and winter semesters. One example is the stadium tour through the Signal-Iduna-Park, which not only excites soccer fans! As soon as an excursion is planned, you will be informed by e-mail and can register. We would like to invite you to explore the diversity of Dortmund, the Ruhr region and NRW and to make new contacts.
