Our research topics are diverse, as classic mechanical engineering and vehicle development are combined in the faculty with a focus on vehicle technology and vehicle electronics.
The majority of research and development work is carried out in the laboratories at the Sonnenstraße location. These are equipped with high-quality technology, state-of-the-art development tools, production machines and measuring equipment and are headed by professors with many years of experience in industry.
In research and development projects, we cooperate with partners from industry and science to solve specific problems in industrial practice. In addition, the faculty offers a wide range of services such as commissioned work, expert opinions and counseling.
As a university, we also rely on close cooperation with our students in the area of research and development. Bachelor's, Master's and project work support research.
Young scientists are not neglected in mechanical engineering either: our professors supervise cooperative doctorates on an ongoing basis.
