This year's Fachhochschule Dortmund alumni reunion took place in the stylish ambience of the Hotel Drees. 39 former employees from various departments and different generations came together there. At the end of the day, they went up high.
The reunion on 17 October 2024 was organized by the Human Resources department. These annual alumni reunions offer FH members in particular, who have now taken their well-deserved retirement, the opportunity to meet up with former colleagues, renew long-standing friendships and reminisce together. This time, too, the atmosphere was characterized by warmth and cordiality from the very beginning, which was certainly also due to the presence of former Rector Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Schwick.
Martin Hübner welcomed the alumni on behalf of the university management. He reported on the current and future construction measures at Fachhochschule Dortmund. His presentation was met with great interest. Martin Hübner also felt at home in the group - and from next year he will be a participant himself.
The alumni want to continue to support Fachhochschule Dortmund in the future and be involved in the university's activities. In particular, the proposal for a joint company outing in 2025 met with approval among the alumni, including those who have already passed the age of 90.
To round off the event, Martin Hübner invited the alumni to take a short trip to the roof of the university on the Sonnenstrasse campus - an offer that was gladly accepted by many. This atmospheric finale gave the participants the opportunity to let their gaze wander over the city while discussing the future of the UAS.
