- in public social work organizations, e.g. youth welfare offices or social services in cities and districts
- in welfare organizations
- in non-governmental organizations
- in child and youth welfare, e.g. work in youth centers, youth vocational assistance or outreach youth social work
- with homeless people in street work
- in an advisory capacity, e.g. in migration counseling, debt counseling or family counseling
- in school social work

You ask yourself these questions in social work:
- From which perspectives do I need to look at a problem?
- How can people be supported in leading independent and self-determined lives?
- What are the conditions that cause distress?
- How can these conditions - individually and socially - be overcome?
- Which cooperation partners with other professionals can I work with to support people in problem situations? Where are there interfaces with other disciplines, e.g. law, psychology or educational science?
Exclusively at our faculty you can
- acquire specialist knowledge during their Bachelor's degree. For example, in the areas of child and youth welfare, offender support, school social work, theater pedagogy
- Dual Bachelor's degree: "Social work with a focus on migration and integration". Dual study means that you attend seminars and lectures two days a week and do "real" practical work three days a week
- very practical work in all areas: you not only read, talk and learn, but also interact with people outside the university and make a difference during your studies
